Horsepower on a 1993 Mustang 5.0?

RE: Horsepower on a 1993 Mustang 5.0?
Ford did originally rate the old 87-93 5.0s at 225 bhp, but changed their ratings to 205 in 1993 by means of a more accurate and newer way of measure stock power. So last verdict from Ford is that you have 205 bhp, 288lbs of torque. That's approx 170 rwhp, 240lbs of torque at the wheels.

Yes but it's also said that they were very conservatively rated and actually have quite a bit more than what was rated in 1993. I guess some say they did it because of the arrival of the 1994 redesign to create more hype for it.

For the sake of comparison the 87-93 5L were pretty much the same. All within 15hp.
Even though they are rated all the same, minus the rating change in 93, I feel like the 87-88 were the most powerful in stock form.
To back up this claim I now have a 93 coupe. It's internally stock but with a few external upgrades. Meter, cold air, long tubes, Flowmasters, electric fan, underdrives, long tubes and 3.73's. It went 13.6@ 102.
My old Mustang was a old rusty high mile 88 hatch. Stock as a rock. Paper air filter, air silencer, 3.08's. It went 13.9@99.
Guess which one I was more impressed with.
