Grinds into reverse,only

RE: Grinds into reverse,only
Any forward gear will stop the disc from spinning. If the disc is not spinning, it will not grind.
With that said, the disc should not be spinning. If you press the clutch pedal it will take a few seconds for the disc, input shaft etc to stop spinning or do as said hit a forward gear, then you can engage reverse right away.
If wait say 5 seconds with the pedal down and it still grinds going into reverse, the disc is dragging.
Sometimes reverse is synchronized. Some 1992's and all 1993.

+3 (one point for each of my cars I have had to do that with). Actually, I use 2nd, but it all works. Although, after I got an adjustable clutch cable it seemed to make it a little better too.
