Default Tell me how to add a can of 134a

I have a leak at my comp but I can't afford to buy one yet so I need to add a can of 134a & i'm not sure how. So what is the best/easiest way to do this???

At autozone they sell r134a kits that usually include a can of r134, some oil (or it could be mixed with teh refrigerant), and a hokey "manifold". Thats the hose thing that you use to fill the r134.

Are you sure you're 134? I don't remember what year Mustangs switched over unless it came that way or you did a conversion. You'll need a can of R134A with or without sealer (depending on how long you're going to wait to have the comp replaced) and with at least a low-side guage. The low side on yoru A/C can be found closest to the firewall. Firewall to Compressor. Just follow the instructions on the can/kit.

The Highside will be closest to the compressor going towards the evaporator core (the line that goes from the compressor to the evaporator core in front of the radiator)

The two fittings should be a different size anyway so you won't accidently connect to the wrong side, but just in case.

Yeah, it's 134. I was converted years back. Do they sell a single hose with the gauge on it?

Yes they do. Its a little guage thats on the line going in.Its colored as well so you know when u have to much or if u need more.One bottle should be plenty.That reminds me I have to go get a bottle as well.
