1/16 of an inch wont make a difference

when it comes down to it... its only going to be off by 1/32" at the holes.... big freakin deal

usually only one setlines up right.....is this the flywheel off the car? if it is just look for the witness marks(the scrapes that tightening the bolts cause) and reuse the same holes

That 1/16 of an inch could be the difference between the convertor bolting up or not. Best bet is to ask the company your ordering your convertor from.

zach, you are so narrow minded... the difference from center is 1/32 of an inch... not 1/16

Yes but 1/32 of an inch could keep the torque convertor studs from sliding through that flexplate. Whats the harm of calling the convertor company and getting the right specs so he doesn't end up buying 2 flexplates.

Suppose the torque convertor has 1/2 studs on it. Each hole in flexplate for the studs is 1/2 in diameter. If that bolt pattern is off on the flexplate those studs aren't going to slide through, even if its only 1/32 on each side.

Its still in the car and I dont have the tranny out.

Couldnt I just grind/file the holes the 1/32 they would be off anyway?

its not going to be a problem... and 302F150 was thinking you had the flexplate off and were trying to figure out how it bolts to the engine.... in which case, dont be like AODE06.... it only goes on one way... if the holes dont line up.... keep turning it
