RE: 91 5.0 AOD problems...
I looked at a FSM (factory service manual) for this car and it shows a detailed view of the Low-Reverse piston, the OD piston, and 2-3 piston...
So, I would thereby assume the 2-3 piston is cracked or otherwise not sealed...
If I get a new 2-3 piston, is it that hard to replace? I'm looking at the FSM and it doesn't look too bad...can I do it with the trans in the car? When I take the valve body down, will the little check ***** go all over, and can I possibly get them back in the same spot?
Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!
What do you all think? Thanks again!

drop the trans pan , remove the valve body(bunch of 8mm bolts).
DONT LET THEM TINY LITTLE BLACK ***** FALL FROM THERE PLACE. go real slow youll see them in the valve body, not a big deal though.

the 2-3 accum
this should take you no longer than an hour. Youll need valve body gaskets and be carefull scraping off the old valve body gasket.
I took mine to a machine shop and had em do a clean up mill and straight check for like $40, our trans rebuilders use 3m disk and clean off with brake cleaner.
One uses a plain ol sos pad, and trans fluid
