I am new to mustangs and this forum. I bought a stock 91 lx 5.0 and was wondering what was the cheapest/easiest way to increase horsepower to around 300? thanks

I f you want consistent horsepower go with a supercharger or another good idea is heads, cam and intake this will cost about 2500.00 if you can do the work your self

get h/c/i combo from trick flow or ford racing everything in the kit is designed to work together takes all of the guess work out of selecting different parts.

To answer your question seriously.....do a full exhaust...get rid of the cats, unless you still have to pass emissions, put some 3.73 or 4.10 gears in and get Nitrous....not a big fan of Nitrous; however it is cheap and hardcore horsepower...all those can be done for under 1k.....

i only have to get emissions checked once every 2 years so i do plan on ditching the cats after inspectionand getting headers. I have 3.73 gears that i am installing also. after that, i was up in the air where to go from there. realistically how much more horsepower does a new h/c/i give you? thanks for all the input.
