300 rpm's from 3.55's to 3.73's is even being pretty generous. I was told it was aprox 200. I went from 2.73's to 3.90's and I saw no drop in my gas mileage city. Even highway its not bad at all... my stang with my gears, etc. still gets better gas mileage cruising than my 2000 Intrepid!

remember you said for the STREET, so 3.55 gear would be best . good luck.

what gears would be better for the street, 3:55s or 3:73

I live in a rural area with little stop and go traffic and the speeds on the road average around 45-65mph
remember you said for the STREET, so 3.55 gear would be best . good luck.

I'm debating between 3.73, 4.10 and 4.30's.... I have an AOD, but really want a good launch off the line... The car isn't a full daily driver car, it's just around town and to lunch etc... I may drive 30 miles to the track, but that's about it.

What do you guys think?
