idling problems
i have an 87 gt with head cam intake and supercharger modifications ,the car was converted to mass air before i purchased it. when i rebuilt the motor i found a clean piston and found that the injector was not firing traced it back to the mass air and found the power wire from the mass air wired to that injector wire, i replaced the mass air connector and rewired it exactly the way the directions shown, and reconected the fuel injector , the car surges realy bad from 400 to 1500 rpm at an idle when i looked at a print from a 1990 setup going from left to right if the wires were facing you were tan , blue , red , black the connector i have is blue, tan , black , red is this normal or is there a possibility that the manufactuer of this harness wired the connector wrong any help would be great thanks

RE: idling problems
possible but highly unlikely.. being that the car was rewired/mass air conversion installed you'll just have to follow the pecker tracks to the root problem of something wired wrong?? if you found one thing I'd count on a few more!!!

RE: idling problems
that's odd that you didn't even feel a shake running on 7 cylinders just look for connections that have butt connectors, scotch locks, solder joints and good ole electrical tape. maybe check the idle speed motor and see if it is working by taping on it with a hammer while it surges and check the wiring to make sure no one has tapped on to that circuit either.
