I didn't cut the air box at all, the rubber tube is the factory piece for the airbox to MAF it came with my MAF along with the mounting bracket from the wreaking yard. I'm sure you could buy that piece from Ford or some after market supplier if you can't find one in a bone yard.

ok, yeah i might have to do that. i bet i could go to home depot and find something that would work too. i'm going to get a c&l 76mm mam and i'm debating whether i should use the stock air tube, or purchase that inlet tube that they sell. i'm wondering what the big difference is...

Well I'm sure the stock tube with the flex ribbing causes some turbulance as the air is pulled thru if it is restictive, good or badcouldn't tell you. I'm sure the tube they supply would be smoother and if it is a bit larger on the inside diameterit would be benificial the way I am looking at it.
