You aren't asking the right people.
i agree.. my gt-40s flow just as good if not better than 165s....I don't think so buddy!!!and i save 500-600 bucks.... there are tons of good heads out there... none of which are really cheap... that is the down fall of a head swap... there pretty pricy when i get anotehr mustang im goin with cainfield heads from jay allen... along with one of his cams as well... good guy sells great stuff... i hear a lotta people can get some good numbers out of ported twisted wedges... but u have to go throug hte truoble of porting them so you may not what that... i also havent hard nething bad about RHS like mattdel stated so id look into them... AFR doesnt make bad heads... but they arent worth the price.. there just a well known name so it makes people feel better knowing there buy a produce that is that popular... and people have gotten good results so they arent crap... but 1200-1400 bucks for a set of heads is kinda price... i got custom ported heads and a custom cam with a ported to match intake for 1500... and all you goin to get is heads that flow no better than mine... but hey you choice... i would do more research tho... email jay if u want... camshaftinnovations.com is his site... check it out... very smart guy
I know this is an old thread but could get past this^^^^^bwahhhaaaaaaaaaa[sm=chairshot.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif]Now you know why your only makin' 242 hp..remove those heads you think flow as good as afr's and put some afr's on and see what your hp is then.....

They aren't horrible for the price. They are another option besides getting your stockers freshened up and worked over. You get a aluminum head that flows better then ported stockers for about the same price. It really isn't fair to compare them to some of the better, higher dollar heads. As people said, you get what you pay for, these heads are anywhere from $400 to $800+ cheaper then some of the other aluminum heads out there. If your building on a budget and just want something better then porting your stock stuff without going broke, get the patriots.

Yep, old thread.

AFR heads are FULL CNC heads.

None other in the 302 class has that offering straight-up.
