What's around the going price to replace the syncros in a t-5 trans,labor and materials?

I was talking to a friend that said they make this really good trans oil (I forget the name he said of it) like $10 per quart My trans take three quarts so I'm going to change it and see if it will help.....My trans ain't all that bad only at high RPMs when i'm shifting it fast!(2-3rd gear) thanks for the response nitrous - bob...........

shti around here ur looking at spending 1k to get a rebuild


as you know you dont just replace syncros, while its open you do it all... 210 in parts.... rest in labor... seriously round here its like 1k to get done

yeah a good rebuild down ehre would run about 600-800.

i bought a rebuilt one from blumenthals in oklahoma city for 830 w/exchange and it has a one year warr best deal ive found so far. d&d also has them for like 999 w/ warr might check them out. i was quoted bout 600-800 for a rebuilt around here also. ive got blumenthals # if you want it

i think those $1000quotes are them assuming they have to remove and reinstall the trans, a t5 is a simple rebuild, i pulled one apart but too many broken parts and was gonna cost more than a new one , i'm going to rebuild one this winter for a spare though
