well idk, i would think so cause its made for mass air correct?you should convert your 88 stang like i am to mass air, ford sells a kit, that costs 532.00 blah...but its worth it</P>

Yes it will screw it up. Changing the air-flow in an 88 speed density will screw up the tables established in the cars computer air to fuel ratio. </P>
You'll need to switch to Mass air meter, make all the changes and then calibrate the MAM.</P>

you could have your comp recalibrated to your new addition. Your computer would compensate for slight changes automatically, there are even performance cams and heads designed to not cause any problems with speed density cars. With that in mind, you may or may not experience any problems with that intake swap, and I would guess you would be fine with the trickflow, but you never know. Here is some useful info for you, you can easily upgrade to mass air with a few parts from a donor car.</P>
