what size tires are you planning on running? you can go with a 245 up front on an 8 inch rim and 275 on the back with a nine inch rim if you remove the quad shocks.

In order to make that look good, you are gonna have to mini tub it. Get the 17x9 and run 275's on them.

I hate it when people tell me this but i know from personal experience that there are a lot of good "what size tires and wheels" threads on here if you search.

let us know what you decide

Default RE: tire ??

i have a 95gt and that wide of a tire just won't work without some serious mods. my cousin has the 93' fox body and i gave him my rims and tires 245/40/17 in the front and 275/40/17 in the rear. can't remember if it was inner or outter wheel weld. however, he cut those tires up in the back. they were rubbing bad. anyways, he went with a 255/40/17 in the back and worked out perfect.
here a little info. perfect fits. 245 fit 8 inch rims, 275 fit 9 inch rims, 295 fit 10 inch rims, 305 fit 10.5 inch rims, and for a 11 rim 315's. i've seen people use different combo's. however, either the tire wasn't wide enough for the rim and they are stretching the tire out. or just the opposite the rim to small for the tire and the tire sit up too tall and the tire never stretches out. common one and i'm even guilt of it. putting 275's on a 8 inch rim. your not max. the tire width because its sitting up tall.
