Vibration/clunking when decelerating

RE: Vibration/clunking when decelerating
I just changed the fluid a few months ago (only drove it about 500 miles) when I changed axles (noise was there before the axle swap though).
I put in the friction modifier and stuff when I did that.
The gears were installed back in January.
Im going to see if its the U joints causing the noise before pulling the rear cover.
I found out that the U joints I had were too small so thats why they moved around tonight (new ones). I had the ones for the stock driveshaft but Ive got an aluminum one.

I replaced the U joints and the problem is still there.
I didnt notice any excessive play in anything but Im not good at telling that kind of stuff anyway.
Im to the point of hoping something blows up just so I know where the problem is.

im gonna replace my u joints even though they feel tight. then im gonna have the driveshaft balanced, replace the worn out motor and trans mounts and go from there. i kinda feel the same way i wish something would just let loose so i can fix it and stop vibrating my bearings to death.

I just checked the fluid- its full (came out of the fill plug).
All my motor and trans mounts are new.
Im taking the car to the track tonight. I didnt blow it up last week and it was doing the same thing.

RE: Vibration/clunking when decelerating
I finally took the car to get looked at today.
The throttle cable needed adjusting. Now it shifts much better and doesnt clunk when decelerating or downshifting.
It was sticking in overdrive so it was like having a manual tranny in high gear and going 20 mph.
I also had the gears checked out and the pinion depth is set wrong so Im getting that fixed next week.
