Default BBK Equal Length Shorty Problems

I recently installed my new exhaust. BBK Equal Length Shorties, matching BBK H-Pipe (no cats), into some 2.5" Magnaflow mufflers. It sounds great, but I am having a fitment problem with the headers. The driver's side header is rubbing on the steering shaft.

I can't figure out how to fix this. I replaced the driver's side motor mount, and it still does this. When I called BBK the day after I installed it, they said that the steering shaft can be moved by loosening 4 bolts in the cab, but I am not able to find these.

I need help ASAP. This is my daily driver and the little bit I have driven it have worn into the shaft a little.

Any one else have this problem?

Yup, common problem. Either replace the worn out ones, or shim them like already suggested. That's what I did. Problem solved.

Wouldn't shims affect that pin that fits in the hole the mounts bolt onto? I've got a spare box of bolts, etc. I'm just concerned about that pin.

From the looks of it, I'll probably need close to 1/4" worth of shims to clear the steering shaft.

I think I cut notches in mine and just slid them in. Loosened the bolt, jacked up the motor and in they went. Didn't interfere w/ the locating pin.

Ok I'll head back to my mother-in-law's and see what happens. I'll keep you guys posted.

As soon as I can get my hands on a video camera, I'll post how it sounds.
