RE: head bolt broke off in block
Well you can have the block drilled and tapped for 1/2 inch head bolts which is not a very uncommon upgrade anyways... When you do this you also need to have the heads drilled in the same respects.. Check around for pricing as different machine shops will quote you very different prices.. If not you can also buy a new block and they run anywhere from $400-$500... Sorry to hear about that... Good luck with everything.. Hope this helps..[sm=sorry.gif]

OUCH good luck. Those easy out are hard as Sh**.You will need diamond tip bits and will be a pain in the a**.You would be better off pulling it and having a machine shop do it or get a diffrent block.

we tried drilling it out and got a big mess now it was hard to work on since it was the back bottom bolt now i think we might have drilled into the block a bit and wrecked the threads i guess i should of pulled it out[:@]

RE: head bolt broke off in block
dude two words.........MACHINE SHOP!!!!! i have had the same thing happened to one of my customer's supra.we didnt even wasted time drilling it out and sent it to machine shop.they charged about 80$ to drill and helicoil the block.drilling through easy out isnt gonna be easy.i had a broken exhaust manifold bolt and tried easy out..............but it broke inside .wasted two drill bits and bought steel/hard metal or cobalt tipped(cant remember which one) bit and still it wasnt that easy to drill.save some time and frustration and send it to machine shop.
