i live in the bay area in california and does anyone know if it is illegal to drive with your fog lights on at night time in pretty much clear weather

driving lights should not be illegal.... many cars come with them stock

My state has a law against too many driving lights...

you are allowed 2 headlights, and two driving lights. We had to specially wire my friends KC Daylighters on his jeep, just so we could pull it off without any issues

its not illegal. but i want my high beams and foglights to come on now a days. 6 beams of fury [8D]

It should not be illegal. It is illegal however to drive with your foglights AND your highbeams on at the same time. If you have you fog lights on them will automatically shut off when you put your high beams on but there are ways around that

i got a fix it ticket for driving with my fog lights on. i turned them off and asked if the officer would sign it off because i obviously fixed it and he would not!! he was just pissed my lights were shinning in his face.

a fix it ticket for what??? I would have driven right to the police station and gone in and filed a complaint

My brother got a ticket in Co. when driving thru the state with his factory fog lights on. Here in Mn it's on the books also as illegal to runclear drivinglights(not headlights), I was stopped but no ticket for driving with them on, now they just ignore it unless they want something to stop you for.
My trike has1 headlight and 4 driving lights on mostthe time

i did, the next day. it turns out the officer at the station said it was legal to have my lower lights on as long as they were not acting as primary head lights and not on when my brights were on.

the best part is that the officer that gave me the "fix it" ticket probably knew that i was not doing anything wrong because on my copy of the ticket the violation code was for NOT having any lights on at all!! i had lights on at the time. what a joke!!
