so my question is what to do, because i'm buying a stroker kit, but witch will i get 347 or 393(cause i got a 351w blosk too) but i got intake and and fuel, and all for the 347, but should i spend the extra bit and get the 393. cause i got to get new headers anyway. also i'm runinng a C4. thanks

yeah.. use that 351 for everything its worth..the 351 feels alot diffrent and can take alot more abuse then a 302...the 351 is a muscle hog and would feel right at home with that AC... it would be worth the extra cash, because in the long run youll get more power, more relibility, and a lot more fun out of it with out breaking the bank with power adders....theres no replacement for displacement

I would deffinitly build a Stroker based 351. Just hopefully the 351 block uses hydraulic roller based lifeters. That way you could build one will a much steaper cam. Good Luck!

lol.. you talk about the 427 like its somthing you can pick up from the local parts store on the way home... really think about the cost for building up a 427... vs building up a 393??? the diffrence will be thousnads cheaper... all said i would want the 427 in a A?C if i were building it up and monie alows... i think you can buy a 351 based 427 storker short block for 2 or 3 thousand right?? the block is a race block and has goodies like 4 bolt mains, deeper cylinder skerts to accomidate the longer stroke..ect.. id go that root if i were restricted with cash

Yup, you can get up to 427 out of a 351 stroker, maybe even more...

no 427 is the limmit for a 351, and you need a special race block to beable to install that stroker, as a stock 351w dosent have deep enough cylinder skirts to handle that kind of displacement, a 393 is ABOUT as big as you can go with a stock 351w block..i was just saying that the suggestion to puting in a 427 (427 scj) is no cheap swap...you ever try to find one of those side oilers??? my gaad those things are expencive.. even just for the bare block!!
