i installed the trick flow street intake over the summer, and didn't feel a huge differance. i deffinitly got more mid and top end but nothing crazy since i still have the stock heads. with the 1.7's and the underdrive pulleys tho im sure ull feel a very noticable increase. two things about that intake tho... first it makes a whissling noise at idle... everyone told me this was a vacume leak but its not. this is the only intake that does it for some reason. also after i put on the intake i noticed a drop in power after 5,500, and before it would pull right to 6,000. my thoery is that i was getting more air than gas so, this winter i put on an adjustable fuel regulator and cranked up the PSI. ill have to wait till spring to see if i was right... either that or it could be worn valve springs. anyway im sure you'll feel 15-25 hp increase on the top. this will triple with heads tho, remember you have big runners on that new intake but you still have small ports in the heads...

It would pull to 6k RPM with the stock cam?? When I run at the track I am shifting at 5200 RPM, but I have stock cam, rollers, and heads/intake... Should I be shifting higher in the RPMs?? I have heard of numerous people say that they shift at redline in their stock 5.0 with stock cam, am I doing this wrong? Have also heard of people saying power drops off after 4700, so dont go past 5k at the track.. Would I run better times if I took it to redline??
