Need a throttle cable and I was just going to go see what the wrecking yard has, but if I recall, they only have 94-95 V6's, as well as fox body 4's.. Are the throttle cables all the same for the 5.0 as well, or are they different? Thanks!

Oops, let me rephrase.. It's going into a 67, that has an 88 engine.. So length I'm not sure on at this moment. Whats the difference between the different years/engine sizes?

I think differences would include cable routing, as well as throttle body placement. On the 5.0's the intake moves the throttle body further away from the pedal than on the 3.8's.. I would think that this would have an effect on cable length. Just a thought though.

also the way it attaches... you cannot use a 3.8l or 94-95 cable to attach to a fox TB

Never really looked at how it attaches. Good point Adder, something I had never noticed.

Ahh, so it's gotta be a 5.0.. Now what about a throttle cable from somethign like a grand marquis or something else that used the 5.0?

i'm waiting on one from summit racing about $40.00. its a lokar throttle cable don't know if they are any good or not. the ford oem was $140.00 when i price there's. i'll post a thread if everything workouts or if i run into problems with it. anyways try them.
