might if i was you i would rebuild it i mean yes its just s shift fork but its so east and cheap to rebuild it while its out why the hell not. I wish some of the other guys on here would reply to this i mean im still kinda new to the mustang thing myself man lol
ok 1st off, look...
its not nesacerally a broken fork... it could be numerous things, and honestly you wont know for sure untill you, or some one takes it apart. it could be... bent input shaft, ****ed up bearings(specifically, btwn the input and main shaft, unlikly though), simply something broken and stuck in the way of the shift rod/fork(s). or yes a bent/broken fork/or rod...
teh kit to do it yourself is about 200 bucks, however, it has no hard parts in it... those will be extra... where do you live? i have alot of the hard parts sitting here at my house... except 2nd, 3rd and a countershaft...
a shop is going to charge you approx. 1100...then if there are more hard parts you need, well... up goes the price
a used t5 can be found for 2-400 bucks... ddperformance sells a rebuild for 1k, so does astro... but imo their pieces of ****.. i can show you pics of the one i grenaded
