Aluminum driveshaft install

RE: Aluminum driveshaft install
Lots of guyshave lost the balance in their 20 year old rusted steel shafts and switch to a brand new aluminum and swear it's way better.
All things equal you will not gain much from a lighter driveshaft but this is one of those upgrades that have little or no downside in termsof function. Similar to lightweight wheels. Better, yes, how much, not much.
A steel vs aluminum driveshaft in a Mustang is probably less than a tenth in the quarter.
It's also easier to balance because it's lighter. Which is important in a steep geared car because the driveshaft rpms are high.
