oil pump question

heres my question can a oil pump put off a loud whine noise at idle and maintain proper oil pressure?i will try to get a sound clip of the noise tomorrow.

problem solved had no breathers in the valve cover it was causing crankcase pressure to build up over working the oil pump making it whine.cut a breather in each valve cover and bling bling noise gone.problem solved please delete thread.
