On the top of the MAF Sensor it is engraved by hand 24#. I do still have the stock maf from the 89 motor that i took out, I can try putting it in and see how it runs, if it runs identicle then that means the one i have is infact a 19# calibrated maf and not 24?

as far as I know.. lightnings had 351w's that had 24# injectors... so I can see it easily becoming a mix up in that case.

Also, can you post any pics of your engine? I'm interested in the install.. also, what color are your injectors

Being from a lightning is there anyway that would mess things up? It is suppose to be calibrated for 24# injectors so I don't really know if there would be a problem or not. I can't remember the injector color, i want to say they are baby blue and the ones i took out are yellow. Or vise versa.. (EDIT: I just found a picture, the ones i took out were the yellow tops.. so the blue is what i put in)

well, everything looks in order.
re-check your timing at the distributor. other than that.. i cant really think of anything else aside from a mislabeled MAF

let me point one thing out. as i said before my car is doing the exact same thing. it did it with a bone stock everything except longtube headers. it has nothing to do with the mass air. he has the correct setup, #24 inj and a mass air calibrated for #24 inj!
