air temp sensor relocation???

air temp sensor relocation???
has anyone heard that moving the air temp sensor from your lower intake to you intake duct tube addin any power or serving a better purpose? someone had told me about this and really never heard it and kinda don't understand why that would help. what exactly would that modification help with?
