I have a stock 88 GT. I love the sound of "Flowmaster", but was told by a local Stang Performance shop that it would do nothing for performance (3hp gain). They recomended "Bassani" for better performance over FM. I want a exhaust that will perform well with a tone that is in between mild and aggressive. So, I don't want to be heard miles away but I dowant this stang to rumble.

They all provide about the same amount of performance gain. Go with SLP LM1 ftw.

Thanks, by the way that is a nice 83 GT. I like the front end on yours better than the 87-93's front.

you wont be dissapointed by slp, bassani are kinda pricey for what you get imo

if you like flows go with 1 chambers that will give you a nice sound, but thats my opinion and like 83 said theres really no diffence in HP gains just the tone. Your real gains will be from the headers and having no cats but it still isn't a amazing hp gain but is some andwill let your 302 breath and run butter.

get some headers, o/r mid pipe, and w/e cat back you like the sound of more

Flows sound great with an x pipe. My opinion.

Well usually they say go with a chambered muffler when you run an H and go with a stright throw style muffler when you have a X.
