Header install gasket matching ?'s
So the basically bone stock stang is getting complete exhaust in the next couple weeks. I already have the non-catted x-pipe installed, i'm ordering flowmaster "cat" back, and bbk headers.
My ? involves this. On my last 5 0 project i had quite a bit of work done because i had the money and worked at ford at the time (this time not so much) and i remember that EVERYTHING was gasket matched to the best of my memory.
So now when i install my bbk headers should i go threw the trouble of gasket matching the exhaust ports on the heads??? I mean i would love to get heads but it probably won't happen for a year to 18 months, so i'll be stuck with these while i spend my money on an intake manifold, maf, tb, brakes, suspension, rearend diff and gears. So its a good idea or no? Any draw backs to doing it with the heads on the car VERY carefully?
Thanks

RE: Header install gasket matching ?'s
Yea, but if i go threw all that to take the heads off, and then come across some money soon to buy new ones, just to go threw the crap to take it all apart again, not my idea of weekend fun. I'd rather be tearing up the streets, then tearing sh*t apart in my garage every weekend.
