1 You can use the K member
2. It should already have a 8.8 in it because from 94 up all mustangs had the 8.8 regardless of v8 or v6 in them UNLESS someone changed it down the road

its not very hard at all, but i also went carb, but if you know how to tune a carb they are just as reliable as anything. my 3.8 came with a 7.5 from the factory.

94/95 you can use the K member for a 5.0L. If I remember right, in '96 they changed them - but don't take my word. The V6 cars all have the stupid 7.5" rear with the open diff tucked under them. Swap in an 8.8" from an SN95 car or get a good 7.5" from an aftermarket company. I'm running the Eaton 7.5" under mine and it's taken a beating. The Fox chassis 8.8" is shorter tip to tip, so axles won't swap over.

Yes it can. The 94/95 cars had that motor, so look for stuff specifically for that year. Some stuff labled for "GT" is for the 4.6L that the 96-98s had. There aren't many difference, but some slight ones that can be a real pain.
