guage wiring

RE: guage wiring
i just did my gauges two nights ago and i know what a pain that was. each gauge had five wires. i used the circuit for the heater blower for my ignition source because it is protected by a breaker not a fuse. theres a piece you can buy that helps you tap into the wire. on the lights i used the dimmer switch so the gauge lights would dim with the dash lights, you need a meter to check which wire does that. since it's one wire going to the three gauges i used a heavy gauge wire and soldered it to the three gauge wires, did that with the the grounds too.

RE: guage wiring
use things that look like this to connect all of your grounds. Then with your last ground wire get a connection that looks like this. connect to a screw somewhere in your body. For the lights i used the same pieces to connect all the light wires together. Once I had them all togetherI ran the wire to my headlight switch and again used one of those pieces to the correct wire. I believe it was the light blue one with a red tracer. Some peope will say not to because the furthest light away will be dim. However that is how mine are and you can't tell a difference when they are at full brightness.
