I have an 85 GT that wont start for about an hour and a half after being run for over twenty minutes. It cranks but there is no spark. After about an hour and a half it starts right up. I've replaced the coil and ignition module. It has a mechanical fuel pump so no probs there. I don't know if it will die while running more than 20 minutes, I don't want to let it sit there or drive very far. Any suggestions?

stock coil and dissy? maybe a voltage drop to the coil try putting a jumper wire from the battery straight to the postive side of the coil for start up then pull of after u get it started. u checking spark with a timing light ?

It was the distributor. Same exact thing happened to my 90 camry. Go figure.

you mean the stator/ pick up coil in the distributor
