Could a fella takin his time put together a single or twin turbo kit for a carbed 5.0 with the turbos from a turbo coupe?? i assume there would be custom tubing and some sort of stand alone or piggy backed electronics for the MSD but i just wanted to see what you guys thought

You would need better turbos.

DIY are easily done with $800-1,000 bow thru carb

Default RE: Hey Turbo Guys

im picking up a set of turbos (garrett T3s) tonight or tomarrow mourning. he wanted 400 for them but i am trading him my forged custom axles and a spool rear for them. there is more to a turbo kit then just slapping it together. you have to get the flanges have them welded into the headers or buy headers already setup for it. oil lines for the turbos and also intercooling. not to mention tuning your motor for the setup. then you have to worry about a carb box and making a blow through carb. if you want to convert your carb into a blowthrough i have a step by step guide. pm me if you need the site.
