Default C4 trans

Hi all,
I have a 90 gt with a C4 trans in it(supposed to be streetfighter but I don't know how to tell was there when I bought it) I have had it rebuilt and resealed and it still leaks from the imput shaft and the speedo cable( which I also had the oring replaced on the speedo) The guy that put the trans in the car really rigged the linkage and I dont seem to have a kick down anymore. Does anybody know where I can get the proper linkage, and any ideas why the thing still leaks, I know there is no cracks in the case. This is driving me nuts cause it leaks on my exhaust and creates alot of smoke if It was just leaking on the ground I wouldn't be worried so much....Thanks, Jason

Oh anyone know any shops in NJ that could look at this and actually know how to fix it.

sounds like u have a major pain in the *** to solve. well, you could do what im doin and just convert it to a manual shift with a manual valvebody. then you get a ratchet shifter and shift on ur own (both up and down). about the leak, i have no clue.

Hey man i have a question for you it is a little off topic but how is your drivability with the C4. what gears do you have. i am thinking about swapping my t5 with one and just wondering about drivability. for your leak i think those trannys have like an oring type seal on the front and the man may have just pinched it together. thanks

well, i really really wish i could tell you, but the stang is far from running. and my driveability will be absolute sh*t with my engine combo. i will have 3.73s. your driveability should be fine. it all depends on how much highway driving you will have and what rpms you can run. you can calculate the mph of ur car to with the gear ratios and rpms, so you can decide for urself. if u need the formulas drop me a pm.
