Hey everybody, I'm putting together a mild 306 with a B303 cam, how important is it to replace roller lifters with new cam? The original lifters look ok, and there is no adverse wear on the old cam. I know with solid lifters it is a must, because of the frictional contact, but what about rollers in a stock H.O.? I spent more than I planned of course already and don't want to spend another $120 if I don't have to. Let me know what you guys think.
why take a chance on ruining a new cam with used lifters??? especially if the old ones have lots of miles on them, then I would change the lifters too.
