just bought this and got it today where does that circle gear go im assuming inside the tranny? how does it go in?

The black gear in the picture goes inside the transmission on the output shaft.

Transmission tail shaft will have to come off.
More than likely the transmission will have to be removed to do it, but some have said they can do it while its in the car.

to put the driven gear on you have to remove the shifter assembley and tap out the roll pin from above that holds the shifter block in place and then remove speedo drive gear assembley and the c-clip is what holds it on to the speedo cable assembley..oh and driveshaft must come out and tranny crossmember and tilt tranny after draining fluid and then the output shaft can be accessed and using a small screwdriver pry up on the clip and slide driven gear off
