squeal/ screech?? or squeek/ chirp???......make sure the a/c compressor bearing isn't locking up or the smog pump locking up if they both spin freely.. try a goodyear gatorback belt

ahhh ha then that may be your problem.. you don't have the factory routing and therfore the proper tension may not be being applied ... do you have a smog elimintator idler pulley?? and or a p/s relocation kit added??

the p/s pump is in the same spot...i only have a ac elim bracket no smog bracket...i kno the belt is too big n tensioner out of range but b4 i put on this belt the other one i had was good and tight but then it went bad so i got this beltbut they gave mea bigger one...i guess ill jus have to live with it till i put on the smog and ac...the ac eliminator bracket does seem to be a little misaligned...would that cause it to keep going bad?

Yes... If the belt is rubbing the sides of the pulley it won't last long.
