Default question about MAP sensor

I have a 93 lx with 24# inj., and x3z(cobra) computer. I noticed yesterday that the map sensor is the old speed density style. I think it shouldnt have the map sensor with the vacuum line plugged up, am I correct. If so would you replace it with one from advance or get a ford one, anybody know where to get a good deal?

Default RE: question about MAP sensor

MAF set-ups do have a "BAP" sensor on the back firewall, its not a "MAP" sensor
Should have electrical plug and the vac opening on it should be open to free atmosphere.

You sure that not what you are looking at?

The MAP sensor is the same part number as the BAP...

With your ecu, you want the sensor unplugged from the manifold vac source...

so i can still use this "BAP" as long as the vacuum is unhooked or do I need to get one for the right non speed density, the one with the gray thing on the vacuum input.
