Default RE: performer heads??

how fresh was the machine work ? $800 is a little steep for them

i have the same heads, i bought mine used for $700 but bone stock.

if the machine work is just done, and heads never on the car...then go for it. but do a little port work still, open up the exhaust and have them smooth out the turns in the intakes too, then match them.

w/ a little port work the performer 5.0's are good to about 450 i'd say, if your looking for 500+ maybe keep looking.

but they will go well into 400

If your talking about part #60379 they run about $590 each newassembled. Are these assembled? It's probably a fair price if they are in good shape. Try to get them lower. If you can find used TW's in the same price range i would personally rather have them, but that's just my opinion. Alot of people run the holley's and are pleased with them.

Yes they are decent heads. If they are in excellant shape, they are probably worth $800 (that's on the high side in my opinion). I would definately try and get him to lower the price a little.
