Rear End Gear

Greetings,

Did 1987 GT 5.0 Convertibles come with a 3.08 gear from the factory?

I'm considerding a new rear end gear. I've checked numerous websites trying to find this info.

look at the code on the door also it may still have the tag on the housing

is it automatic or manual? if you have a 5-speed standard was 2.73 and optional was 3.08. if you have an aod the only ratio available was 3.27.

I think you've got those gears backwards there fordguy17. the manual trans came with the 3.08 and the AOD had the 2.73 gears stock unless you ordered something different.
