I have a 1988 gt and my light dont work so i am just going to rewire it. Can someone tell me which wire(s) are for the headlight on the headlight switch. I know it is a red and black one but then it changes colors, and i just wanted to know what it changes to?

the headlight/turn signal switch in my column was bad when i bought my 87 gt a couple months ago too, so i found the hot wire in the harness and the headlight wire and then put a radio shack switch inbetween them. so i turn my taillights/parking lamps on on the dash, then flick the radio shack switch for headlights. anyways, if you don't wanna buy a whole new switch, just cut the headlight harness off, and match the wire ends together until u get headlights working. you will only have dims or brights tho. at least that's how mine are drove it for a month that way.
