Best 5.0? Quickest?

Hello. I am looking to pick up a used stock 5.0 5-speed and want the quickest stock year(s). I know the ratings are about the same from 87-93, but I do not think they are the same. Ford played games with cam profiles and such and never really came clean year to year. I seem to remember reading that the 90-91's are actually alittle quicker. Any insight? I'd like a notchback. I know the 93 Cobra is king of all 5.0's of any year, but I need a fun work car on the cheap.

A 5.0 is a 5.0. Your probly not going to keep it stock, so whats the diff. Yeah stock for stock a 93 cobra is king but its still not at its full potential.
