S-Trim or Custom H/C/I on Daily Driver
Now that I plan on installing my S-Trim soon I have been reading & hearing alot of people talk about all the problems they are having with crankcase venting issues. Blowing gaskets out, pushing the dip stick out, oil leaks, etc.... This is not a race car. It is my street driven daily driver & i'm now thinking twice about running a supercharger on my DD due to these issues. I can't afford to really mess up my stang cuz I don't have an other car. What do you guys think? I also thought about selling the S-Trim to get a Custom H/C/I combo. I can only afford one or the other so which one would be better & why? It needs to be fast & reliable cuz I do take trips in my car. I'm not looking for HP numbers on a dyno just a fast fun street car that is reliable with A/C & power everthing. What would you guys rather have? A pretty much stock 306 with a S-Trim or a 306 with a Custom H/C/I???
BTW, here are the mods I have so far:
1990 Mustang GT
306, typhoon intake, E303, stock heads, 1.6 FMS R.R., 70 T.B., 73mm C&L, 24lb injectors, 255 fuel pump, adj. billet regulator, MSD dist., coil & 6A box, BBK shorties, o/r x-pipe, flowpath mufflers dumped, T-5, etc...

RE: S-Trim or Custom H/C/I on Daily Driver
well depneds on what u want. i have a h/c/i 331 and its fun, reliable once i got the bugs worked out, if you make hp, stuff breaks, no way around it. a buddy has a s/c on a stock bottom end, w/ heads and intake, pushing like 420rwhp and his is a dd, not many problems with it, he did lift the heads once at the track and drove it back home with no major issues.
both can be reliable, taking great care of everything will play a big part, and dont go cheap!
