Default flat top pistons

I have an 86 mustang gt with as you all probably know the infamous flat top pistons, i need to know how much clearance i would need to run AFR 185 heads and a E303 cam. Thanks a lot

Default RE: flat top pistons

better choice in head if you don't wanna change pistons would be a twisted wedge head and clearance wouldn't be such an issue...also cam choice for a sd car is not optimal...and if you really want to stay sd and use the 185 head have a custom cam designed for your application and it'll run like tops then
