thanks doods! i will install it today. roundman, im gonna use the nylon tubing for the first few days than i will switch to copper. 42 dollars for some braided line, geez, thats more than i payed for my gauges. [8D]

so how do i get the oil pressure "mushroom" off? i tried twisting it but i keeps going and going and going... i feel a nut at the bottom of it do i have to loosen that?

ok. i got it. they are mounted and hooked up. i get 50 psi at idle and about 60 at 3000 rpm's. i think my oil is a little overfilled. tommorow i will clean up some wires they look good. thanks for the help everyone.

hah, those words sound familiar...i said that too when i put an oil pressure gauge in my turbo 280zx a few years ago...never did change to the copper. luckily the line cracked in the engine compartment and not the interior.

What about just using the electronic style oil pressure gauge? By the time you spend $ for the mech gauge, then $ for the braided hose, you might come out ahead, probably easier to intall too. Do you guys know something I don't? Are they less accurate?

1/8" is the same size as the plastic tubing and will work fine. just make sure to get the compression style fittings for it and don't kink it while running or connecting it to the gauge.
