Default head question

alright guys, im thinking about buying an 83 gt that still has the e6 heads on it. what im wanting to know is if the e7 heads or the gt40 heads will work on it. i know the 83 had the flat top pistons. the car is going to come with either e7 or gt40 heads. i know that both out flow the e6 heads. thanks for the help.

What did those have anyway, D9's or did they change the heads for 82 with the badass 157hp 82 GT?
