THANKS GUYS!!!!
After messing with this transmission for the last month or so(it was at the trans shop getting the fox input shaft) I FINALLY got it in. Changing out the pilot bearing to the V8 instead of the 4 cylinder worked wonder. So I just want to tell you guys THANKS for helping me out with all the questions I had, but I do have another question or two.
When I went to put the shifter boot on, the shifter won't go past neutral. When I got this trans it came with a Hurst short throw. So I need a new plastic "surround" piece and shift boot, what do you guys use?
How do you adjust the stops on the shifter? I don't want to get it out tommorow and over shift it and tear this trans up.
I still have to put the trans cross member in and figured I would replace the bushings before I put it back in. I checked Auto Zone and Advanced and they don't have them(Supposedly). Would NAPA carry them?

RE: THANKS GUYS!!!!
to adjust stops back b olts out so you can get a full engaugement then run them in until stops touch then back off a hair and tighten down and run through all gears to make sure shifts are clean and crisp

RE: THANKS GUYS!!!!
make sure the stops don't KEEP it from fully engaging. b&m is no longer putting the stops in because people are not setting them right, only being in gear partially, and wrecking their trannies
it is to keep you from bending a shift fork when being aggressive...thats it...not just a positive stop, it should'nt touch it on a normal shift
