I pulled a straight edge with a friend of mine from the front line of the Carb/breather. The front of the breather is right at 4" from the top to the fender line, at the front of the breather. This is the front of the carb. hence, this is coming off the front of the air cleaner. I measured from the cowl panel to the straight edge and it was 18 1/16" from the cowl panel to the front of the carb/breather. It is 4" from the top of my fender line to the top of my K&N10" Air cleaner. If anyone has an idea of how much of a cowl hood I would need to clear this set up, I would greatly appreciate it. 18" from the cowl panel, how much clearance does a 4" have and if it doesn't clear I will go for broke and get the master 6" cowl hood.

yep---a 4 fo sho'... i have a 5" on mine.. just cause the style it is, the sides aren't straight up and down, they angle.... looks like a jet... and besides my intake sticks up kinda high due to a spacer. and with my 5" hood, i have about 2"s of clrnc... Which is plenty incase i wanna go carbed down the road..

I borrowed a friends 4" hood and it cleared the breather. Now I just hope they have what I want a FFW tomorrow in Baytown.
