was told that i would have to switch my coolant for my aluminum heads and intake to make sure it wont have any corrosion. is this ture and if so what would i have to switch it to.
Iron block and aluminum heads, dissimilar metals with different mineral compositions generates electrical fields, regular tap water that's full of minerals/ions acts as a conducter from the differing metals and it generates electrical current which causes/speeds up corrosion. Distilled water does act as a conductor like tap water does, preventing/slowing corrosion. That's also why you need to add antifreeze, it acts as a corrosion inhibitor.
