I understand what your sayin.. I have heard that going from stock E7s to GT-40 heads is not worth messing with because the valve difference is not enough to make a huge difference and paying anywhere from 300 and up for a set might be a waste.. Please correct me if Im wrong cause I would really like to upgrade from my restricted boat anchors for heads..

yea e7's are poop for sure.

upgrading to gt40's, especially with some port work, i've seen some really respectable times. they are not the best in teh stang market but if you're on the cheap they are worth it.

otherwise if you can save and dish out for aluminum heads...its really the way to go.

GT-40's are a lot better than the E7's. It is a good investment especially if you plan on adding a Cobra/Explorer or aftermarket intake.

The valves are biger in the GT-40 and port volume is bigger as well. Good factory head.

the exhaustvalve in the p heads is a little smaller but the head flows better and dropping it on a stock fox raises compression

only the cobras in those years had the gt-40's...regular mustangs had e7's...and if you want to build a n/a combo of 270 rwhp the gt-40's will support it and force feed them after that and you can have an 11 sec ride
