Default BBK SSI intake

Anyone know if the BBK SSI intake will clear a stock hood? I've heard both ways they will and they won't so I need this clarified. Thanks.

Have you tried asking BBK? If anyone would know they should. To be honest though from everything I've heard about that intake I would never buy it regardless.

I have one and so does one of my buddies, both clear the stock hood, minus the very small spot on his and my intake where in the front driverside, it rubs a little bit on a cross support on the hood, but yeah they clear.

Mine did, but just barely. It rub'd on a about a 1" sqr spot in the front left corner.

Intake sucks though. forget it.

Well look who I found over here!!! Whats up F.B.? Thanks for the rims, I am unable to post on that thread due to low post count BS. I've cleaned up one(sanded), and once there painted they'll look great.

Sorry to thread jack.......[&:]

i dont hear to many good things about those intakes..though i dont know anyone who has one personally. depending on your current or future mods...trick flow or the holley systemax seem to be popular choices. but this is just from reading and what others have said.
