My fuel pump went out on me last night, and I was wondering if it would be possible to upgrade to a performance one. My only mods are a Cold Air Intake, exhuast, 3.73 gears, and a 49,000Volt ign. coil. I'm not sure if i can upgrade the pump or not since I don't really Need more fuel pressure. If I do upgrade the pump will I see more power or will it just run too rich? All help his appreciated!

you can upgrade the fuel pump on a mainly stock car bc the stock pump is just enough to supply enough fuel on a stock motor so if you are planning on future mods then i upgrade it. You just need to know how much HP you are going for and get the the pump that will be big enough.

i would get mine from mustangsunlimited.com that where i got mine and get the ford racing one bc it comes with a new fuel pump and screen and a new hose and connectors for i think $80.

i would say get the 155 fuel pump and the part number is FP155

thats the fuel pump that i have and it works great

 

dude, i will hook you up with a Holley fuel pump that goes right in your stock gas tank- cheap. pm me if interested.
